Greetings! I am Tanisha Reddish. I am the EC Department Chair for Sugar Creek Charter High school. I attended Augusta University for undergrad and earned a Bachelors of Science in Special Education. I attended University of Phoenix for Graduate school and earned my Masters in Curriculum & Instruction.
The course that I will be teaching this semester is Early Work Release. This course is designed to teach students skills and promote success in the areas of postsecondary education, employment, and independent living. Instructional emphasis will be placed on the application and generalization of skills to post school environments. The Six Employability Skills adopted by NCDPI have been embedded within the competency goals and objectives throughout the course.
Students will apply skills learned in previous Employment Prep courses to their personal career choice. This course allows students to solve work related problems experienced in competitive employment, practice self-advocacy skills and master the theoretical and practical aspects of their career choice.
