Hello and Welcome!
My name is Ashley Soistman and I am a 3rd grade math teacher at Sugar Creek Charter School. I have been teaching 3rd grade math at Sugar Creek for 4 years. Prior to teaching at Sugar Creek I have taught Kindergarten in Connecticut for 2.5 years. I grew up in Connecticut and had a love for becoming a teacher since I was little! My philosophy on teaching is that you have to teach with LOVE first. I believe in teaching the whole child, being ALL IN ALL THE TIME, and having fun and incorporating movement into my math lessons. Some of my favorites are coffee, the beach, HGTV, and dogs!
MY WHY: I have always wanted to become a teacher growing up, but now my mission is to become a child's FAVORITE teacher by leaving a lasting impact on them. I fell in love with helping title 1 students reach their dreams and highest potential. I will do whatever it takes to get them to college and beyond!
