Greetings! Welcome to Ms.Childs' Counseling Corner and class page for the Class of 2024. I am a graduate of Florida A&M University where I received my B.A. in Psychology, with a minor in Education and a Master's of Education degree in Mental Health - Guidance Counseling. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and eating food!
Course Description
College and Career Readiness (CCR) II, is a one-semester required Sophomore Seminar course given to all 10th grade students at Sugar Creek Charter High School. We will continue to have one-on-one sessions throughout the year and explore the endless possibilities of planning using multiple platforms and mediums. CCR II Sophomore Seminar will extend and enhance your acquired knowledge from year one and help you set long-term goals. Reading and writing comprehension are essential to year two successes. You will apply skills using real life examples, problems and situations, work on increasing the required community service hours, internship and job shadowing opportunities.
