Greetings! Welcome to Mrs. Blackmon's Nursing Nook and class page for the year 2022-2023. I am a wife of 29 years, a mother of 3 sons, and a grandmother of 5 (4 girls/1 boy). I have a blended background, of education and healthcare. I have had the privilege of teaching kindergarten and working as an in-house substitute at SCCS from 2000-2006. Following my passion as a healthcare provider, I previously worked at Atrium Health for 7 years on the kidney/liver transplant unit in the nursing department. I have received numerous accolades and recognition, for my work with patients and interactions with their family members, as well as my professionalism with fellow staff and teammates. I bring a caring work ethic, along with years of dedicated experience. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading and eating good food!
