A native of Charlotte, Deas earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast communications from Elon University and a master’s degree in Sports Marketing from The Citadel. Before Sugar Creek, Deas worked in the sports communications industry at Elon, Wofford College, The Citadel and continues to work with the Carolina Panthers. Montesia has worked as the Student External Opportunities Coordinator since the high school’s opening in 2014. To further prepare our students for college and life, we believe that students need experience outside the classroom to develop a well-thought-out life plan. Throughout their high school careers, students will be exposed to various opportunities for community service and outreach projects, job shadowing, and pre-college leadership programs. Additionally, in the role of Alumni Coordinator, support and guidance are provided to recent SCCS graduates as they navigate life after high school.
