Greetings! Welcome to Ms.Kendrick's TV and Digital Media Classes.
I am Teaching Artist, Photographer and Videographer originally from Washington, DC. This is my fourth year here at The Creek.I received my Masters in Film and Video from American University and Bachelors of Art in Journalism from Hampton University. When I am not teaching I enjoy taking photos, working out, watching movies and cuddling with my fur babies, Lana & Archer.
Digital Media I : Intro to Photography - In this course students will explore digital techniques and learn to enhance their images with photo editing software. The main software for this class is Lightroom. Students will explore the basics of photography,editing,media literacy and video production.
Digital Media II : Intro to Photojournalism & Yearbook - This course will build upon prior knowledge and skills developed in Digital Media I. Students will utilize previous knowledge to develop in-depth specialized projects based in Photography and Videography. Students will learn the elements of photojournalism,cinematography and design. Students will create the annual school publication of the yearbook.
TV Broadcasting I : Intro to Broadcast News - In this course students will learn the fundamentals of television production, which includes pre-production, production and post- production. Students will produce and broadcast the daily morning announcements for the High School Campus.
