Greetings! Welcome to Mrs.McDonald's TV and Digital Media Classes
I am Teaching Artist, Photographer and Videographer originally from Washington, DC. This is my fifth year here at The Creek.I received my Masters in Film and Video from American University and Bachelors of Art in Journalism from Hampton University. When I am not teaching I enjoy taking photos, working out, watching movies and cuddling with my fur babies, Lana & Archer.
Digital Media I : Intro to Photography - In this course students will explore digital techniques and learn to enhance their images with photo editing software. The main software for this class is Lightroom. Students will explore the basics of photography,editing,media literacy and video production.
TV Broadcasting I : Intro to Broadcast News - In this course, students will learn the fundamentals of television production, which include pre-production, production, and post-production. Students will study News Media and Multimedia platforms as well as produce media content to be shared throughout the High School Campus.
Digital Media II : Photojournalism & Yearbook - In this course will build upon prior knowledge and skills developed in Digital Media I. Students will utilize previous knowledge to develop in-depth specialized projects based in Photography and Videography. Students will learn the elements of photojournalism,cinematography and design. Students will create the annual school publication of the yearbook.

Communication Policy - I am available via email Monday - Friday from 6:45AM - 2:30PM to discuss questions, comments or concerns surrounding student grading, assignments or behavior. All emails will be answer within a 24-48 hr time span.
